About theProgram -
This program is a free service which seeks to
inform children, adults, and community about potential dangers to themselves
and their communities and how to react to them in an appropriate manner. Potential
topics include fire safety and prevention, winter safety, severe weather
safety, basic first aid, and general emergency preparedness.
October is fire safety and preparedness month
which can go along with Halloween safety,
November and December is a great time
for winter safety, April 21-25 is Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week
Wisconsin.
May is a great time for water and sun safety
These presentations are very flexible; they
can be targeted to any age group and can be as short as fifteen minutes or as
long as 2 hours depending on topic, audience, and available time
These presentations are part of the Red Cross'
goal to help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergency situations.
They are a free service to
the community that equips individuals, especially children, with useful information
and valuable life skills. If you
